Product Assembler & Fitter

Cambridge Full Time Dependent on Experience

We are currently looking for a Product Assembler & Fitter. Hamilton location.

This is a Full-time, permanent position.

Role and Responsibilities:
Actively drive yourself and others around you in the teams to ensure a high work output is always maintained to meet any and all production schedules and standard fitting times of products.
Be a hands-on operator and to be responsible for seeking out training to ensure that you constantly improve on your skillset.
Always be open to assisting other to learn daily ensuring a high level of product knowledge is maintained across all team members.
Ensure that tools, parts,
and benches are all kept in an orderly fashion in line with 5S and Lean principles.
Ensure that all work undertaken is done so with a focus on quality and is done so with the highest level of workmanship all the time.
Report any product or workflow issues immediately via ECR / NCR processes or to your team leader.
Ensure all jobs are completed according to Job card details and report anomalies to team leaders.
Ensure orders are kept with times on jobs and correct inventory items are on them.
Ensure all quality documentation has been completed on all job tasks.
Identify potential time and cost savings within the Assembly Teams
Actively partake in Company Health and Safety initiatives and always work according to current SOP’s and workflows as maintained by the company.

Key Performance Indicators:
Cleanliness of working areas and yard around areas to be a safe and operational standard
DIFOTISOB (delivery in full, on time, in spec, on budget) of 100%, including supporting other Teams where appropriate to reach this target
Continuous improvement of operation including tool management and process control
Individual KPI that is set at performance review
Values alignment for decision making purposes

Qualification, Education and Experience Requirements:
Previous experience at fitting vehicles
An interest in fitout of vehicles
Hands-on worker with practical knowledge and can think on your feet
Mechanical or electrical engineer experience or qualification
Health and Safety experience
Certification in fitting, auto electrical or other
Able to read plans, and look for ways of getting the job done smarter

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
