Are you passionate about Rugby and looking to step up to a new challenge in 2020?

Waikato Rugby Union are looking for an experienced Sales Star to fill the new position as their Sponsorship and Sales Executive which is an additional role to their Commercial & Marketing Team.

The key responsibilities of this role are to:

• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective and existing sponsors, strong interpersonal skills are essential!
• Research and identify sponsorship prospects and convert to new business.
• Ensure deadlines are met when completing sponsor contracts and presentations.
• Manage and resign existing sponsorship partners ensuring their contracted benefits are being fulfilled and agreements are being renewed.
• Continually looking for innovative sponsorship properties and ideas.
• Maintain excellent professional relationships with key stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain a regular account management calling pattern to enhance partner satisfaction.
• Positively lead and execute appropriate sponsorship events.
• Assist the Commercial Manager with the creation of annual sponsor budgets – both revenue and benefits

To be successful in this role you must have:
• Proven Sales Expertise
• Strong Customer Relationship Management
• Experience in Relationship Building
• Experience in overseeing a variety of contracted partners
• Strong communication skills – oral, written and interpersonal
• Proficient in Computer Literacy – using Word and Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Ability to work flexible hours
