Stores / Materials Handler

Frankton Full Time 50K

Our client is recognised within the Engineering industry for producing high quality food processing and packaging equipment, along with offering innovative solutions to both local and export markets, through their complete range of in-house engineering capabilities.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

•Cutting and preparation of steel products in readiness for jobs
•Handling of materials ensuring they are stored ready for use by the engineers
•Provide back-up to senior store person
•Packing and crating local and export shipments ready for dispatch
•Making deliveries and collections as required
•Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the workshop and lunchroom

You’ll need:

•Full class 1 licence
•OSH certification for Forklift. F endorsement ideal but not essential
•To be physically fit as some heavy lifting is involved
•Mechanical aptitude for operating machinery such as cutting saws
•An eye for detail to accurately measure and record data
•A positive can-do attitude

It is essential that you have a good understanding of safe working practices & adhere strictly to health and safety procedures.

•Minimum 40 hours per week M-F

•Good rates of pay with overtime at time & half
